Commitment is at the heart of everything we do at the Washington County Habitat for Humanity.
On the surface, our commitment to provide our partner families with a safe, decent and affordable home of their own - and their commitment, in return, to help us in this endeavor - is the commitment, by which, Habitat for Humanity has become known for across the globe. However, it is but a by-product of our affiliate's defining commitment - a commitment to excellence that has become exceedingly apparent, if you have been paying attention over the last few years, in everything that we do.
We made a commitment to build more homes - and we did so, more than quadrupling the number of homes we built just four years ago. However, we knew we could not do so without raising more donation dollars. As a result, we made a commitment to raise more donation dollars - and we did so, more than tripling the old record for donation dollars received annually. However, we knew that in order to maximize those additional donation dollars we would need to increase the profitability of our ReStore, which provides much of the funding for the affiliate's operation and allows donation dollars to go directly to home construction. As a result, we made a commitment to increase the profitability of our ReStore - and we did so, more than tripling the net income of four years ago and setting a record in the process.
So why am I describing in great detail our commitment to excellence? Because, we have now made a commitment to take our signature special event, our 9th Annual Benefit Dinner & Auctions, to the next level. Based on our track record, it would be unwise to doubt our ability to do so. On Friday, February 9, 2018, at 6:30, the Washington County Habitat for Humanity will take its 9th Annual Benefit Dinner & Auctions show on the road to the Meadows Racetrack and Casino.
Tickets are $90 per person, or $670 for a table of eight. In addition to the exciting new venue, which will provide opportunities for entertainment both prior to and following our event, our upgraded auctions will feature many high-end items.
